Madonna and Brandi Glanville shaded their ex-husbands on Father’s Day. In both instances, the two stars have feuded with their former spouses over custody issues involving their kids. And while Glanville was conciliatory towards Eddie Cibrian, Madonna seemed to go for the jugular with Guy Ritchie.
As Gossip Cop has previously reported, Glanville and Cibrian split after eight years of marriage after he cheated on her with (his current wife) LeAnn Rimes. Over the years, the three have publicly feuded over Glanville and Cibrian’s two sons, Mason and Jake. Oddly at times, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, who has openly griped about Cibrian, has actually praised Rimes. In 2016, in a backhanded compliment, Glanville tweeted at her ex-hubsand, “Im glad [her boys] have Leann to support them cuz u cant.” This Father’s Day, she wrote on the social media platform, “Happy Father’s Day @EddieCibrian. You may not have been the best husband but you’re much better father. Enjoy your day” (see below).
As noted above, Glanville wasn’t the celebrity to diss an ex on Father’s Day. While the reality star at least complimented Cibrian for being a “better father,” Madonna didn’t mince any words when it came to Ritchie, though she did not mention him by name. The singer and the British film director share custody of their biological son Rocco and adopted son David. But in 2016, they exes went to court over 16-year-old Rocco, who expressed that he wanted to live with his father in London.
And while Madonna and Ritchie settled the majority of their custody issues involving Rocco nine months ago, clearly there is residual animosity. Madonna, who’s also the mother of Lourdes, Mercy, and twins Esther and Stella, tweeted on Father’s Day, “And Happy Father’s Day (sic) to Me too because lets face it… Im the Mommy and the Daddy. I don’t care what the papers say.” She also included a collage of her six kids with her message (see below). Neither Cibrian nor Ritchie have commented on their ex-wives’ Father’s Day tweets.
