Pilots Report Seeing 'Very Bright' UFO Near Ireland Coast

UFO reported off Ireland coast

Because 2018 hasn't been strange enough already, apparently pilots are seeing UFOs off the coast of Ireland now.

That's according to a British Airways pilot who reported having a close encounter while flying off the coast of Ireland, last Friday (11/9).

The pilot contacted Shannon air traffic control wondering if there were any military exercises in the area after seeing an object "moving so fast."

Air traffic control dutifully checked, and reported back to the pilot that the skies were clear with nothing appearing on their primary or secondary radar according to audio of the pilot's conversation with Shannon air traffic control.

“It came up on our left-hand side and then rapidly veered to the north, we saw a bright light and it just disappeared at a very high speed. We were just wondering,” the pilot said. "We didn’t think it was a likely collision course, just wondering what that it could be."

Another pilot who was flying a Virgin Flight VS76 from Orlando to Manchester, chimed in, saying he believed it looked like a meteor or some kind of object making re-entry and that he saw "multiple objects following the same sort of trajectory — very bright from where we were."

Another pilot said they saw two bright lights. "Very interesting that one," the pilot told the others on the comm link.

The pilot reported the speed of the object as "astronomical" moving through the air at Mach 2.

Some aircraft experts believe the two bright lights were merely meteorites entering Earth's atmosphere at a low angle. The high speeds of object and bright lights were likely the result of friction as the meteorites entered the atmosphere.

Of course, there is the fact that the government has admitted to studying UFO's. The Pentagon recently confirmed a $22 million program dedicated to obtaining and analysing "anomalous aerospace threats" - or UFOs to civilians like you and I.

The Irish Aviation Authority issued a statement about the "unusual air activity" saying that the pilot's report "will be investigated under the normal confidential occurrence investigation process."

Sure, of course, that's exactly what you'd EXPECT them to say... The truth is out there.
