Ashton Kutcher Got Dad-Shamed By Ellen DeGeneres And It Really Affected Him

Shaming parents has become so rampant that some people now do it without even realizing they are. In fact, when Ashton Kutcher appeared on Ellen, host Ellen DeGeneres shamed him in front of millions of television viewers, and while they were both laughing about it, the comments have clearly affected Ashton.

On the show, Ellen explains how Kutcher and his wife, actress Mila Kunis, are her neighbors and she always sees the family out and about. She then jokingly asks if his two-year-old son Dimitri is walking yet, calling him "the young boy that never walks." She points out that Ashton always has his child in a carrier on his back saying, "He never puts him down." Ashton, though smiling, gets a little defensive, loudly stating, "He walks! He's two," then adds,

"I now have a complex about this. I have one of those hiking backpack things, so I put him in the hiker to go down the beach so we can actually go down the beach, otherwise it's a whole wrangling session with the kid. And then you came out and you were like, 'Oh, does he walk?' And I'm like, 'Yes! He walks!'"

To help tackle her perception of him, Kutcher explained that he makes sure his boy is on his own two feet when they are anywhere near Ellen's home, noting, "So now I take him out of the thing once we get to purview of your house, and I'm like, 'Go, go, go! Run, little sucker!' And I'm trying to dish him along so I don't have to hear about it anymore. This kid's going to be an Olympian, man, because I'm going to be behind him like, 'To Ellen's house! She's watching!'"
