Disneyland Announced They're Delaying The Reopening Of Mickey's Toontown

The reopening of Mickey's Toontown is being delayed but only for an extra two and a half weeks.

Disneyland announced that the cartoon-themed land will be opening up on March 19th instead of their previous announced date of March 8th. Mickey's Toontown features the classic "Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin," "Mickey's House," Minnie's House," and will welcome a new ride into the land called "Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway."

“Due to heavy winter storms that impacted our construction momentum, we are adjusting the reopening date of Mickey’s Toontown to March 19. We can’t wait for our guests to visit and experience the reimagined land.” Disneyland officials said.

In honor of celebrating Walt Disney Co.'s 100th anniversary last month, Disneyland had opened up some of Mickey's Toontown so guests can check out and ride the new "Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway." The new and improved Mickey's Toontown has been re-imagine to have more green space for kids to run around and play along with updates to CenTOONial Park, Goofy's How-to-Play Yard, Donald's Duck Pond and Gadget's Go Coaster which has been renamed to Chip 'n' Dale's GADGETcoaster. Are you excited for Mickey's Toontown to finally reopen?

Some other updates the Disneyland Resort has planned is replacing the theme of Splash Mountain to be Tiana's Bayou Adventure, which is set to open at the end of 2024. The other update is transforming Tarzan's Treehouse to be the Adventureland Treehouse, which is set to open sometime this year. Click here for more.
