If you live in California, you might know a few haunted places you can visit to go ghost hunting. Check out Cali's most haunted places to visit below, according to KTLA 5:
- Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (Hollywood) - Marilyn Monroe's ghost is rumored to pop up at the hotel along with hearing trumpet music coming from suite 928 where Montgomery Clift used to practice before his death
- The Cecil Hotel (DTLA) - used to be a popular destination for the rich and famous in the early 1900s but later became known for crime and murder; serial killers Richard Ramirez and Jack Unterweger used to live at this hotel. There's a documentary on Netflix that talks about the history and story of Elisa Lam, whose body was found inside a water tank on the hotel's roof in 2013.
- The Queen Mary (Long Beach) - this ship operated from 1936-1967 and hosted members of high society during that time but it's known to have ghosts aboard nowadays.
- Hotel del Coronado (San Diego) - Kate Morgan had checked into the hotel in 1892 but never check out as she took her own life after waiting 5 days for a visitor. Guests claim to have seen flickering lights, items moving on their own, sudden room temperature changes and mysterious voices and sounds when they stay in her room.
- Point Sur Lighthouse (Big Sur) - story goes that the lighthouse's original keeper was a faithful employee that he keeps watch after his death
- Winchester Mystery House (San Jose)
- Bodie State Historic Park (Bodie) - located between the Cali and Nevada border, this Gold Rush-era town is frozen in time and is rumored to have permanent ghost residents. Those who visit the town and pick up any memento from there will have the curse of Bodie which "imposes lousy luck, health problems and unexplained accidents"

- Fort Humboldt State Historic Park (Eureka)
- Chilnualna Falls Trail (Yosemite National Park)
