Lorde is heading on tour.
On Thursday (May 8), the "What Was That" singer announced that she is hitting the road later this year for her Ultrasound World Tour, in support of her upcoming album Virgin, which drops June 27. Kicking off this fall, Lorde will travel around the U.S. and Canada throughout September and October before making her way to Europe for another leg of the tour in November and December.
The tour will feature opening acts Blood Orange, The Japanese House, Nilüfer Yanya, Chanel Beads, Empress Of, Jim-E Stack and Oklou for select shows.
"Very proud and excited to be bringing my most talented friends in support," she said in a post on Instagram, adding, "Come see what's under the skin."
Lorde accompanied the tour announcement with an X-ray image of a skull and spine in profile, which ties in to the Virgin album cover she previously shared alongside a note that the record was "100% written in blood."
