Katy Perry may have made headlines about her historic trip to space earlier this year, but there is at least one person who missed out on the entire ordeal: Mariah Carey.

During a recent interview with a British radio show, it was revealed that Carey didn't realize that her fellow pop star made a trek to the edge of space in April as part of Blue Origin's all-female mission, per People. When asked if she would "fancy going to space – you know, like Katy Perry did," the "We Belong Together" singer bluntly responded, "Did she go to space?"

After being told that, yes, the "Firework" musician did in fact briefly leave the planet, she wondered where she went.

"Into orbit and back? She was, like, floating in the... and this is true?" she asked, shocked, and getting the confirmation from the host that, "Yeah, I have not made this up. This is true."

Once she came around the idea, the Queen of Christmas was supportive of Perry's out-of-this-world ambitions.

"Wow. Alright Katy," she said, adding, "I'm not mad at her. That's pretty amazing."

As for if Carey would like to take a trip to the cosmos, she's perfectly happy staying on solid ground, admitting, "I think I've done enough.

In another recent interview, the "Fantasy" hitmaker spoke about a recent wardrobe malfunction she experienced while performing on stage at Brighton Pride in England, admitting that she was "so mad" about the mishap after doing "a lot of rehearsing" for the set.

Mariah Carey will be taking over the stage at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Festival presented by Capital One on September 19 and 20 in Las Vegas.
