JAY-Z has shared his thoughts after Bad Bunny was announced as the next headliner for the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
On Sunday night, September 28, the NFL and Roc Nation announced El Conejo Malo will perform at Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, Calif. Shortly after the news spread across the world, Roc Nation founder JAY-Z issued a statement, in which he expressed his excitement to see the Puerto Rican sensation hit the stage.
“What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring," Hov said per Rolling Stone. "We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.”
"What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” Bad Bunny said in his statement. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”
JAY-Z's Roc Nation has been working with the NFL to curate the Super Bowl Halftime Show since 2019. Over the past six years, Roc Nation has helped bring a slew of rare performances to the Super Bowl stage including Jennifer Lopez & Shakira (2020), The Weeknd (2021), Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem & 50 Cent, (2022), Rihanna (2023), Usher (2024) and Kendrick Lamar (2025).
Bad Bunny's performance will go down just months after he wrapped up his historic 31-show residency in Puerto Rico. He recently closed out his "No Quiero Ir De Aqui" residency at El Choli in San Juan with a massive four-hour "Una Mas" show with special guests including Marc Anthony, Jowell Y Randy, Ñengo Flow, Arcangel, and more.
Super Bowl LX is happening on February 8, 2026.
