Disney+ and Swimply are collaborating this summer to bring fans immersive cinematic experiences as they chill by the pool.
The Disney+ Dive-In Theater experiences is part of Disney+ Throwback campaign and this summer, select Swimply pools across L.A. will be "transformed into larger-than life recreations of beloved films." The films playing at select pools are Alien, Honey, I Shrunk The Kids, and Camp Rock. The Disney+ Dive-In Theater experiences will be happening from late July through August and if you're interested in this experience you can enter for a chance to attend through the Swimply app or at Swimply.com.
"The Disney+ Dive-in Theater allows fans to connect with their favorite films in a way they've never been able to before," said Samantha Rosenberg, Executive Vice President, Marketing, Disney+. "Following the success of our Disney+ Throwback Experience earlier this summer, we're seeing audiences crave real-world experiences that let them step into the stories they love. Swimply's unique platform brings these immersive experiences to life in intimate, exclusive settings that create lasting memories with friends and family."
Each Swimply pool will have a "fully themed environment where every detail - from photo ops to interactive elements - is designed to plunge guests into the story." How cute is that! Check out when you can experience the different films below:
- Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (July 29-August 1)
- guests will walk through a giant "shrink ray" laser tunnel and come out into a giant-sized world where they'll see a cereal bowl swimming pool, Cheerio pool floats, a huge popcorn box and massive ants.
- Camp Rock (August 6-9)
- head to camp this summer and experience bunk assignments, a fire pit, DIY friendship bracelet stations and more!
- Alien (August 14-17)
- travel into space to watch Alien with spaceship decor and atmospheric fog.
